The Great Purifier

Light, you rise.
weighty, you drop.
Mock the might of the skies.
Sweet gist for roof-tops.
Like gentle sleepers you lay on riverbeds;
With Yemoja’s grace you sway on ocean floors;
’til the sea boils
’til the sun calls.

Light, you rise,
Weighty, you drop.
Cries of the skies,
Mercy the crops.
Fire’s pacifier,
Thirst, you stow.
Great Purifier,
Dirt’s your foe.

Light, you rise,
Weighty, you drop.
Gamete to mother earth’s eggs.
Harvest to the farmer’s shed.
Bloom’s genesis
Gloom’s nemesis.
Vigor to weak bones.
Life of its own.

Light, you rise,
Weighty, you drop.
Cries of the skies,
Mercy the crops.
Great Purifier.
Fire’s pacifier.
Life multiplier.
A wasteland’s desire.
